We have a team of four practice nurses (PN’s) and two healthcare assistants (HCAs). They are available for telephone advice or appointments Monday – Friday. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The PN’s run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, heart check ups, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.
Our Practice Nurses are as follows:
Sister D Singleton
Sister J Van Klaveren
Sister K Munro
Sister A Blumson
We have a vital team to support the holistic functioning of the Practice; an IT Manager (Mrs Christine Ballard), an Administration Supervisor (Mrs Sue Willis), an Administration lead Mrs Sandy Mears and two Medical Secretaries (Mrs Caroline Dyer and Mrs Nicola Morgan)
The secretarial, clerical and computer staff undertake a wide range of essential support tasks including patient registrations, management of patient records, health screening letters and liaison with local hospitals, community services and other agencies.
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
