Our practice is collaborating with NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) who is providing NHS numbers for those patients that maybe suitable for electronic repeat dispensing prescriptions. The information is obtained from NHS prescriptions submitted to the NHSBSA. A member of our clinical team will contact these patients soon to explain the benefits of this service.
You can order repeat prescriptions which have already been agreed with your doctor in three different ways:
- Online for patients aged 16 years and over: Via the link at the top of this page; Please note: when registering for online prescriptions you are required to bring your ID and forms into the practice in person so that it can be verified in line with Information Governance guidelines.
- In person: either tick the items on your repeat slip or complete a request form which can be obtained from reception.
- Pharmacy: Your local pharmacy can collect and deliver your regular prescriptions if you arrange this directly with them.
We are unable to accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions
Your prescription will normally be available after FIVE working days if you are collecting from the surgery. Where prescriptions are sent to a local pharmacy, collection time will depend upon the pharmacy involved. Please discuss directly with the pharmacy.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
